NATATORIUM ADDITION IN SHREWSBURY

Natatorium Addition; Shrewsbury, MA
This project involved the design of a 3,000 s.f. natatorium addition. Folding doors open onto a new courtyard space, helping to bring the outdoors in during the summer.

•Design features include a vaulted ceiling with curved laminated wood beams, a 19’ x 37’ swimming pool with integral spa, custom fountain and water features; full kitchen and wet bar, changing room and atrium link to the existing house; an outdoor kitchen and fireplace.

•Mechanical systems include pool filtration, dehumidification and HVAC equipment; temperature and humidity controls, emergency generator and specialized pool fiber-optic and LED lighting.

•Responsible for schematic design, design development, permitting, construction documents and construction administration.

•Coordination of consultants for landscape architecture, structural engineering, swimming pool and mechanical systems.
